Tomorrow I have something old and something new - but no borrowed or blue, I'm already married, thank you!
Today I have this week's Sensational Haiku Wednesday, with one of my favorite themes: School!
School
More than books and desks
Memories are created
Friends connect for life
Teachers
A teacher conducts
the melody of knowledge
for students to sing
Life
In the school of life
we learn from experience
students forever
As a teacher, I deeply appreciate your second haiku. I especially like to envision myself as a conductor of students singing! Thank you so much!

I was a teacher, and I absolutely adore your second haiku! The third one rings very true to me as well. Well done on all of them!
ReplyDeleteTara...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, and I am SO stealing your BLT bite recipe'
Your Haiku's were very cool...G
Nice haiku - I especially liked the last one!
ReplyDeleteLove the haiku. Those are not easy to write, I seriously respect your talent.
ReplyDeleteAND ... great party! I had fun checking out all the blogs and the best part is no clean up and no extra sit-ups to counter act all that amazing food! Until I start making the recipes that is ;)
Lovely. I so don't get poetry, how to write it. Well, limericks I can do. I guess my brain is just prosy. =D
ReplyDeleteWell done.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get his kid back to school.
HMG
I liked that. We are students forever, constantly learning and changing. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are all really great. I'm especially drawn to the second haiku on teachers, I think the melody and sing are just perfect, but then I look at school and think "yes!!" and look at life and think "So true!!" and realize that really I love them all.
ReplyDeleteWell done. :)
Hey Tara. What great talent you have. Haiku are extremely difficult to write. Love the third one especially, but flows logically from the first two.

Hey fellow Bloggy McBLoggerson!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pleasure to read your posts, Tara. I have to admit, I'm a little intimidated by your math teacher abilities, because I divorced math, but I give you all the respect in the world for being a woman both of numbers and of words!
Greetings, fellow campaigner!
Nice! I'd say you're a far better poet than me, but burnt toast could do a better job than me.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely haiku. it brings to mind so many memories. I used to miss going back to school. Not so much anymore. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last one best! When we stop learning our brains start to die.
ReplyDeleteMMT, the profession should get more appreciation!
ReplyDeleteDana, thanks! glad you're back =)
Gman, awesome! help yourself!

Ria, you know it!
it is a connection for life with friends for some with their teachers and with the knowledge they pass on!
ReplyDeleteAll three are terrific - what a great prompt for the teachers in our group, yes?! I think I love the second most.
ReplyDeleteWell done; thanks for joining us!
These are beautiful Tara!
ReplyDeleteI really like your Haiku's this week, especially the teacher one. I had fun checking out the other blogfest blogs.
ReplyDeleteVery expressive haikus. Enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteenjoyed all three ... the flow from students to teachers to life was a clever way to handle the prompt!
