Happy Birthday to Me!
I'm celebrating all weekend!
In Disney World!
Here is my birthday schedule for Sunday:
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's
Rides at Hollywood Studios
Lunch at Mama Melrose's
Fantasmic Lazer Light Show
Dinner and Fireworks at the Crystal Palace
then more rides
in the Magic Kingdom!
Okay, I'll stop rubbing it in. But the best part is that I can still share a slumber party with all my friends! I hope you have a story for me - that's my favorite present! Here is my most memorable slumber party:
No Regrets
We took our final bows and the curtain came down. We jumped and clapped and ran off stage. The final night of our junior high musical had been a great success!
While we changed, the energy in the dressing room exploded as we chattered about the big cast party at Cara's.
Pizza, pop, boys, music! We had such an awesome time! And when the party was over, I got to spend the night. Tara, Cara, and Cara - the three musketeers!
We gossiped and did each other's hair. (my first french braid!) We snuck into Cara's older brother's room to snoop around. (my first time in a non-relative boy's room!) We played truth or dare and told our secrets and snacked and made prank calls and stayed up all night (or tried to).
In the morning I tasted my first breakfast of cold pizza - who knew!? Best invention ever!
Looking back, you know what we didn't need? cell phones! internet! We only needed each other. We bonded and grew. A taste of independence without losing any innocence. (and no one got filmed to be embarrassed on you tube!)
I'll be around, looking for yours =)
PS - Here's a treat for you. I know Starbucks wanted to celebrate my birthday. They are doing a BUY ONE HOLIDAY DRINK, GET ONE FREE - NOV 17th - 20th! So have a BOGO on me! hee hee

Happy birthday! Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Tara! Enjoy every moment with your family! What a great time you are going to have.
ReplyDeleteMy sleepover story takes place during a school trip. Our high school chorus went to Philly for a competition. I roomed with 3 of my friends. We thought we would be 'cool' and secretly pack vodka and OJ for us to have at night. We poured the vodka into a clear bottle for transport. When we opened it in the room to make our adult beverages we realized that the vodka had picked up the taste and smell from what had been in the bottle previously.
It was Sea Breeze facial cleanser.
The OJ tasted pretty good all by itself.
We learned to use 7Up bottles after that!
Have a wonderful vacation!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Happy birthday! Don't forget to ride the Tower of Terror.
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun at Disney World, so I can live vicariously through you :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Happy Birthday to You!
ReplyDeleteFunny, I just finished a scene in my wip about the character eating cold pizza.
Try it with ranch dressing and your conversion is complete.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Lovely, Tara :)
ReplyDeleteUsed to have sleepovers all the time when I was young -- friends & cousins. We used to trade visits with a family up near Toronto several times a year.
One year -- the year of the great blizzard [1977] -- my sister's best friend's family came to stay for about a week because we had electricity & they didn't.
I have lots of memories of sitting on floors, chatting, eating and playing games. It was great fun.
Happy Birthday!!! Sounds like you have an amazing weekend ahead of you!
ReplyDeleteLove the leaves.
ReplyDeleteNice blog content.
