DAILY DOLDRUMS - Urban Fantasy. Brenda Howard gets a hand with her housework from a cursed fairy.
DOWN WITH ZANA - MG. Popular Zana Oliver goes too far, alienating her own entourage who teams up with the nerd herd for revenge.

ReplyDeleteSooooo many Ds that I don't know! I like your list. Plot is the worst for me. Idea for story is very easy. I can think up zany characters...but the Voice!!!! So many difficulties

Oh I like your list. 8 is the most difficult for me as well. I can't stop giggling during the love scenes I write, lol.

ReplyDeleteHi, I really like your list, but haven't thought too much about those different factors. I write for pleasure, mostly and I guess I am most concerned with grammatical structure and spelling. I wish I could get a job reading MSS because it really bothers me when I see misuse of a word or misspelling. It makes me grit my teeth sometimes. Must be the teacher in me. Ha. I really enjoyed your post. It made me think. Thanks, Ruby

Backstory kills me! But DANG it, I will figure it out!!!

Setting (world-building) is most difficult for me. And does one kiss count as a love scene? That was difficult as well.

ReplyDeleteFor me, getting an idea for the story is easiest for me too. But you know that saying about how genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration? Sometimes it's the perspiration part where I find myself struggling the most.
