Did I already say that? Well, it's worth repeating. The weather has been gorgeous, the days have been full of events, and the leaves are changing - and don't forget, pumpkin everything!
Today, wonderful friends, I am popping in to do a Halloween Interview with Yolanda for my Pop Travel Blog Tour. She came up with some scary, creepy, disturbing, but fun questions. I also sent her a photo of me way back when I used to make my own costumes. I loved doing that! Now I just wear t-shirts and hand out candy... We need more adult costume parties around here!
Yolanda recently released Memories of Murder... here's all her info:
~Yolanda Renèe ~
Author of Murder, Madness & Love
Blogger at Defending the Pen
By the way, my fun, funny editor at Curiosity Quills has his second book coming out. It has an awesome cover and per his MO, he had to do something wild and crazy to hype the launch. He's so creative! Check out the trailer he tagged on the end of this "Star Wars" casting promo!
And don't forget to enter the "From the Great Beyond" blog hop. Since it looks like we may be short of post entries for all our prizes, we are thinking of broadening this opportunity to commenters on the participating blogs who post and posters will get five entries to each commenter's single.
Will you dress up for Halloween this year? What are your kids going to be, if you have some who trick or treat? And what is your favorite Halloween costume of years past? Go visit Yolanda and see mine =)
October has the last book in the Divergent series so that's why I'm excited. Happy October and I won a book by Yolanda recently.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so hot here! I am twiddling my thumbs waiting for all of this fantastic fall weather everyone else seems to be getting, but NOOOO Tennessee has to be difficult (of course).
ReplyDeleteCount me in for the blog hop! Sounds like a really fun time :D
I look forward to reading the interview :) and Happy October indeed.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview Tara, and love the costume!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out for Memories! Awesome!
Happy October!
October is a good month, but I'm somewhat partial to November (for the totally biased reason that it has my birthday in it...)
ReplyDeleteYeah for Yolanda!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! That's the answer to your question about dressing up for Halloween. I love to do that. I'll be a witch again. It suits my personality and my wart is in style on that night. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy crazy roommate is moving out and hasn't been around for weeks, so in her absence, I've been decorating for Halloween. I replaced her boring, badly-fitting tablecloth with an orange and black plaid one with black trim (and actually is made for a circular table), got some Halloween placemats, purple juice glasses with spiders, Halloween earrings, and a tiny multicolored jack-o-lantern. I'm going as a nun (a real one, not one of those offensive "sexy nun" costumes) to the party my oldest friend is holding on the 26th. When I have my own home and more money, I'm going to decorate as much as she does.
ReplyDeleteIt has certainly been a very busy month to say the least. I better go check out your intriguing interview.
ReplyDeleteAnd looking forward to the blog hop and sharing the Halloween love!
My favorite Halloween costumes were when I was Dorothy Gale (age 4), a witch (age 11) a Ninja (age 12) and when my sister drew a spooky web on one side of my face the year I was 13. I don't know what I was; I wore a cape and all black! I liked all my costumes, but those were some of my faves.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
No dressing up for me. Wishing Yolanda and your editor much success with their books. :-)
ReplyDeleteI just came from Yolanda's. Awesome interview! I'm trying to find a big brown sweatshirt so I can be the brown M&M for Halloween. My son is going to be a rocket ship. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tara .. love your title: Pop-olopogus ... new Latin word?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your October fests and hops and pumpkin time .. then the scrunching earthy nutty leaves ...
Cheers to Pop Travelling - Hilary
I want to go to a costume party too now ;)
ReplyDeleteI always dress up for Halloween. Last year I was Cleopatra. This year, I think I'll be Alice in Wonderland, since Wonderland is where my brain has been lately. ;)

ReplyDeleteHappy October to you too!

I don't have kids- but I dress up every year. It is my favorite time of the year. I usually create my own costume. I dress up to hand out candy, but I really like it if I can wear my costume to a party. My favorite costume was probably when I was a woodland fairy with an outfit I created from the thrift store.

My favorite all time costume is one I did for my younger son when he was three. I put him in green tights, covered his face with green makeup (good old food coloring), and split a pair of too-tight shorts and t-shirt along the seams to wear over the tights. Can you picture it? He was the Incredible Hulk. He had the whole flex and growl thing down pat and won a blue ribbon in that year's local Halloween Children's Parade.
ReplyDeleteMmm... No Halloween celebrations in my country, but I'll head over to find out what you're going to wear. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Little Mermaid was my favorite childhood costume. I really need to figure out what I'm doing this year...hmmm.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the color orange! Sounds like you're having a real good time, Tara :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! For a second there, I read that as you wear a t-shirt made out of candy. Now wouldn't that be awesome for Halloween? In fact, I think that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to glue candy to my shirt. Yay! =)
