Have you accomplished your goals this year despite the pandemic? What changes have you made to your writing process/goals?
I thoroughly enjoyed our short Thanksgiving Break - I got a spurt of energy and time to write a few more chapters in the next Pop Travel novel. And I had fun playing games with my boys. I hope you all had a peaceful, yet exuberant Thanksgiving - if you live in the states =) Really hoping things will turn more positive after the new year begins. So much loss and depression have been hard for many to overcome. Sending encouraging thoughts and virtual hugs! Hang in there!
I also found some time to enjoy Sherry Ellis's latest MG adventure:
Here's a quick review:
Bubba and Squirt are in it again--The portal to another exciting place, that is! This brother-sister team make middle grade adventures fun again. They complement each other's skills and intellects in a good hearted way to solve this new Mayan mystery. The bonus is the hidden cultural facts and excellent recipes to try!
In other pleasant tidings... I sent some books to a Youtube Book-Tuber, The Tiny Book Dragon, and she mentioned my books in her Fall Book Haul video.
If you haven't watched a book-tuber, you should. They do a great job of talking about books with honest and enthusiastic reviews.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year!
I'm ready to put this naughty 2020 to bed!
Hi Tara, I have accomplished quite a few of my goals this year, both writing and personal. Have a few more to get done before this year waves goodbye.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you had a spurt of writing energy. I hope you have more this month. :)
ReplyDeleteSherry's MG books are so much fun to read.
Glad you're working on the next book.
ReplyDeleteDepressing and dividing year - ready to kick it to the curb.
Cool that Book-Tuber mentioned your books.
Merry Christmas!
My normal daily wordcounts have all but disappeared since lockdown began. If this never ends, I know I'll never finish a book in my normal time or write at least 2K every day ever again. How can I, when I'm not in my own home with privacy and able to go to the library for a few hours every day?
ReplyDeleteTiny book dragon. I love that name! So awesome about the shout-out!
ReplyDeleteHope that energy surge lasts you through the rest of the year—and beyond!
I'll have to seek out Tiny Book Dragon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning Sherry's latest.
Encouraging thoughts and hugs back to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving and some good writing time.
Congrats on the mention on Booktuber!
Here's hoping 2021 is a much more joyful-peace-filled-comforting year.
That's awesome that your books were mentioned by a booktuber (I didn't even know that was a thing, lol, but I'm not surprised, either). I'll have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your writing progress. Enjoy the holidays.
ReplyDeleteWell done Tara - glad you recharged your batteries somewhat - and had fun with the boys and the family in general! Good luck with the books ... and well done on starting another. I do hope we can all get through to an easier 2021 and have a more peaceful year ... stay safe and positive - Hilary
