Sensational Haiku Wednesday on heat
To keep a cool head
Take a deep breath and put in
perspective, worth it?
To keep heat in love
Be thoughtful, patient, and kind
Repaid with kisses
To stay cool in heat
Stroll beach where breezes whisper
and waves tickle toes
Hope you were able to get away this summer or are looking forward to a vacation soon! And friends across the globe who are not feeling the heat, what's your weather like? It would be refreshing to hear!
It was pretty hot here last week but now it's back to mid 70s and cool nights - which is fine by me. Though I have to say the sweltering heat of summer doesn't bother me like it does most folks. In fact I'll take that over winter most days :)
ReplyDeleteLove the last one ~ ...stroll the beach .... tickle the toes ~ thanks, ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I love the line "waves tickle toes".
ReplyDeleteIts actually been very cool here until about a week ago. Now its well into the eighties. Still cool by other state's current standards.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely images there - especially liked the last one.
ReplyDeleteI have central a/c and deal with heat that way.....makes for a very sedentary lifestyle, unfortunately, but I hate heat....your lovely images may change my tune a bit....
ReplyDeleteThank heavens it's raining today. It was over 100 yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYes, someone remind me what winter feels like - please!
ReplyDeleteNo vacation for us, but I can pretend out in the backyard by the blow-up pool!
ReplyDeleteI really like your haiku, especially the last stanza. It's been a long time since I've gone to the beach (8 years perhaps).
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely been hot here since July came in. This week hasn't been as bad, but the temperatures are supposed to go back up this weekend.
Nice images.
ReplyDeleteWe were promised a beak in the heat this week. Didn't happen.
Good imagery! Send the heat my way!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt truly has been a long hot summer, and we're only half through. Hope you get some cooler weather too.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hot here I had to hose off the front walk and the house to let the cooler slide down another two degrees.
ReplyDelete.......dhole
I'm jealous! Reading this from a very wet Devon, England and haven't had any summer weather since 2 weeks iat the beginning of May.
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd stanza is sensuously correct and meant for the young at heart. It's a case of sacrifices that are duly rewarded. How thoughtful, Tara!
ReplyDeleteHank

Love these, Tara!
ReplyDeleteBeaches are really soothing in summer ... nice set :-)
