(I made this alternate button for Vikki's weekly hop and it cracks me up!)
Nick Wilford's anthology to support his step son, Andrew, comes out on Monday!
Ciara Knight's next book, ESCAPEMENT debuted this week
and today is the BACK FROM THE FUTURE blog hop with Suze, Mary, and Nicki! Yeah!
So this morning I got a package from UPS and it was from ME! But I sent it 10 years in the future to me now. I know, it's hard to grasp if you aren't into the sci fi time travel stuff. Anyway, this is what was in it:
- A holographic imager! On which was a note instructing me how to find:
- A picture of my grown up sons and one is engaged! (grandkids can't be far behind!)
- A scrapbook of my teaching days, so I guess I will have my own class again someday
- Copies of my future books
- And a picture of our second home
- There was also a hydrocooker with a dozen or so complete meals in pellet form - I know how I hate cooking!
Thanks, future me! Fabulous gifts!!! I am really looking forward to the future, now!
What are you celebrating? What's in your future?
And Monday I will also share some A to Z stuff!
Have a super terrific weekend!
Love your capsule full of goodies, especially the hydrocooker. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and your alternate button is super cute!
The last one on your list I want it too, make it two, please!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, have a beautiful spring!
That alternate "Celebrate" button is too funny! Made me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Hi Tara,
ReplyDeleteIt's good that Nick's book is out. Must check that anthology out.
Hope the blog hop went well for you.
Maria
I'd definitely be in the market for a hydro cooker!
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome gifts! Are you willing to share the food pellets? I actually love to cook but would love a day to write without thinking about cooking even more. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Oh, a hyrdocooker would be the best thing ever!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd also hope to see copies of my finished novels. It'd be great knowing that I finished one eventually.
That alternate button is a crack up. Future novels would be encouraging wouldn't it? Or would that be like cheating on the test?
ReplyDeleteFuture you left some pretty cool stuff behind. Food pellets would be so easy to store. Little space. The probably don't go bad. No refrigeration. How wonderful. I hope they taste good too. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes, a hydrocooker... Someone needs to get on that pronto. (: And future books would be awesome! Happy Friday Tara! (:
ReplyDeletehaha hydrocooker...hehe...pellet form! I do like the sound of seeing my future home and future books! If only...
ReplyDeleteI think I want to see a beach house in my future!
Now you know what to write!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Nick's book on Monday.
So now you must devise a hydro-cooker, apparently. Fun visiting...
ReplyDelete~Just Jill
You could try to reverse engineer the holo imager and make millions! :)
ReplyDeleteI got it, cool stuff. Love the Escapement cover, you're alternate button is so fun and will be promoting the anthology monday.
ReplyDeleteHaha love that you sent yourself comlete meals, totally making mental notes to send the samething to myself from the future if I ever get the chance.
ReplyDeleteGreat new books, have to add them to my list ;)
The meals in pellet form made me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat gifts from your future self! And congrats on all the celebrations.
ReplyDeleteThe "celebrate" button is adorable.
ReplyDeleteBoy, wouldn't we ALL love to have one of those hydro-cookers and about a ton of those pellets? I sure would. Not that I don't love to cook, but I've been doing it every day for so many years, I don't even want to think about it. And even after all these years, my husband STILL expects three meals a day... every day! (sheesh)
Aw, future you knows now you so well. :) I hate cooking too. Bring on the pellets!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the fest & your Celebrate icon cracks me up too.
I really hope the anthology has a huge success :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be a part of the Neumarian Uprising with Ciara. Been tweaking my steampunk Geisha look lol!
And sometimes, just a friendly smile is all that's needed to make my day. thanks to my Chipmunk for adding a kiss on the cheek to go with the smile she gave me before going to school this morning #lovethekiddos
By the way, think you might be able to spare a pellet meal?
Wonderful image for Celebrate the Small Things!!! I love the holographic imager - very cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating lots of things . . . at this very moment, the smell of chili and preparation for a late ski day.
Yay on grandkids. I like your new icon for Celebrate the Small Things.
ReplyDeleteI want one of those holographic imagers.
A HYDROCOOKER, I want one of those!
ReplyDeleteIt is a VERY CUTE BUTTON :)
oh my gosh. A holographic imager sounds awesome!

I'm looking forward to the future too, but I'm also having a wonderful time today! Gotta hand it to you - that's a great pic for Celebrating the Small Things blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI love your alternate icon, too cute. And I wish my future self would get organized and give me some good news!
ReplyDeleteOh I want meals in pellet form too. I HATE cooking!
ReplyDeleteLove your alternate icon! :)
Oh man, your future books were in there. That means all you have to do is copy and publish! Nice!
ReplyDeleteSome great capsule gifts, Tara! Love the new button for Vik.
ReplyDeleteLove the button.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you can tell your one son what girl he should be extra nice to when he meets her.
How many books? (You need to know how fast to write.)
That's pretty amazing. I've that idea of sending a package from your future self! And those were amazing gifts.
ReplyDeleteThat alternate button is so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteHolographic imager? Isn't it a partial reality?
Man....could I use some of those pellet meals!! :)
ReplyDeleteI've wanted a hydro cooker since I first saw it on Back To The Future :)
ReplyDelete.......dhole
I am celebrating new friends and the arrival of spring soon :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your future book - if you can get inside it now, think of how much easier it will be to write.
ReplyDeleteI want JARVIS the computer from IRON MAN and maybe today's lotto numbers. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYour son is engaged? OMG, I think I'd have a heart attack if I opened up my box and saw that my son was engaged! LOL
ReplyDeletewas wondering if the package had a check signed from me...i want it back! :D
ReplyDeleteOh Lord do I want that hydrocooker and pellets! Sometimes breakfast, lunch and dinner can be sandwiches (even though hubby complains). But sandwiches are food, right?
ReplyDeleteFun post! :-)
You did get some great gifts. They are a lot better than what I got.

Smart to send yourself copies of your future books and a hydrocooker. I wish I had one of those. Cooking is so NOT my thing.
ReplyDeleteI only want a second home if I can afford someone to clean it!
ReplyDeleteThose are all great things to celebrate! YAY!! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate cooking too. But I am soon to move into a shiny new home and I imagine I might do more cooking then. I'd only ever do the bulk kind though where I will be able to feed myself for a week on whatever I cook. First thing that came to mind is a bunch of home-made pizzas :)
All sounds pretty achievable: hope the pellets taste better than they sound :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the holographic imager! Dropping by via the BTTF blogfest, a little late. Moving one of the daughters right at the first of the month, natch, so I'm a little late! New follower here.
ReplyDeleteLove the food in pellet form, my dream come true!
ReplyDeleteLike the idea of that hydrocooker! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so clever to send back that cooker. I really need one of those! I'm slacking even more in the kitchen lately.
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm not alone in my cooking duldrums! Someone will make a fortune with that invention!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to say, even though I sent myself my books, I wouldn't read them - I have too much fun writing them. The only time I read them is during editing and then I'm done! ha ha. I know me, never even considered reading them! (but maybe the cover blurbs =)
thanks everyone!
