If you are just starting a new first draft, Chuck Wendig has 25 harsh realities for you to consider. I am also writing another first draft, but it started as a short story. We'll see where it goes...
So having Sensational Haiku Wednesday be about Chapters seemed to fit right in!
Chapter Five: We go to school
Chapters Thirteen thru
Thirties are tumultuous,
dating and mating.
Some books continue
with many Chapters, others
may end abruptly.
What e'er your story,
fill Chapters with love, leave the
drama for fiction.
I hope the mating continues until the end of the book!
ReplyDeleteWait, did I just say that out loud...?
I love the last part!
ReplyDelete*snort* on what Alex just said.
ReplyDeleteFor me, it's more like the drafts than the chapters. And with my last wip, it was in grad school by the time I was finished. :)
Love this one! I'm giving you a round of applause, great work.
ReplyDeleteHeading over to check out the tips now, although I'm afraid of how harsh the realities may be!
I love the quick move from birth to teen age years....you remind us that no matter what happens thru-out, love is the key for happy stories...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Haiku for Wednesday. I'm not starting a new first draft, but I think I will check out Chuck's list.
