I get so much from reviews! You all help me decide what to read. In small return, when I finish a book, I want to offer my two cents. In so doing, that means I liked it enough to finish it and want to recommend it to others! So here you go, from my Christmas present books, I read THE TIME KEEPER by Mitch Albom.
THE TIME KEEPER tells about the origin of time and how man has distorted its value by numbering the hours, days, and years of our life. I am a prime culprit of squeezing every minute until it cries out. I tell myself to slow down all the time – but I have to finish these important things before I can relax and enjoy some “free time.”
Mitch Albom takes three very different lives and shows the value of life in spite of time. This story is an elegant tapestry of words and emotions. I highly recommend you take the time to read it!
And I am going to share this book in a new trend I’m starting right now! If you’d like to “borrow” THE TIME KEEPER, comment below. I will write a note inside the cover and pass it on. Then I am asking that the winner do the same, sign it and pass it on. A real world blogger hop!
But that's not all!
Cruising through the blogosphere, I found a couple more books I am adding to my TBR list:
The artwork is phenomenal! I'm not usually a YA person, but these stories have drawn me to them...check them out!

I like the artwork on Valor!
Everyone talks about Albom's books but I've never had a chance to read one.
Thanks for sharing! The Time Keeper does sound awesome!
Congratulations on finishing your book. Thanks for the recommendations! :)
I'm in the same boat as Alex - I've heard of Albom's books but haven't read one yet. Thanks for the review!
I love YA. Well, some YA, I guess. I've been reading a lot of it this month but I haven't read the two you mention here. The artwork is pretty damn cool.
Happy reading!
The Time Keeper sounds really good. Time has become my enemy in recent years...
Happy Friday!
These all look interesting. I look forward to hearing what you think of the other two. :)
Congrats on the finish, Tara!! Am happy-dancing for you. :))
Yes, finishing reading a book feels like a HUGE accomplishment these days, doesn't it? Congratulations.
The book sounds great, and I'd totally sign up for the real-life blog hop...except I'm afraid it would sit in this house too long. But hey, if it's still up for grabs a couple months from now, count me in. ;)
I've been getting back into reading lately - 2013 must be the year. Recently finished Steve Martin's bio...great story! Looking forward to your recommendations...guess I'll be adding a few books to my growing list of must reads :)
Nice artwork. It is good to celebrate the little things.
CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you because I know how hard that is WHOO-HOO!
yes, we all want more time, especially more free time, but maybe the key is being happier in the time we have. Easy to say, harder to do!
I really need to read Mitch Albom's books. Everyone says that they're wonderful.
What a fab idea for a book hop! A book physically hopping :) Sounds like a great book!
Glad we were celebrating your book reading and thanks for joining in ;)
The Time Keeper sounds really intersting.
Congrats on finishing a book! Woot!
I have read all of Mitch's books but had no idea he had this new one out. Thanks for cluing me in and good job on finishing a book! I tend to have "reading" months and "non reading" months. I haven't been reading much this month but you have reminded me to get back into it!
Sounds like a fascinating book. When I was in Ghana, they kept time very differently, and I learned to just relax and enjoy life a little more!
Sounds like a great book. Congrats on getting it completed, and great idea to share it with others!
Now, that is a fun idea, Tara, about sending the book on. I actually picked up a used book in Hawaii at a garage sale that had started out in Arizona and then made it's way to Hawaii. I've been meaning (since I've read it) to do something like that to keep it going. Hmmm . . . I think you've given me an idea. Thanks!
Finishing the book is definitely something to celebrate, and no small thing. Congrats! Great idea about the book hop - should add on there to do amazon reviews as well.
I've read a couple of Mitch's books but not this one. Have to add it to my TBR list.
I've never heard of these... I now have more tbr bks to add. Thx!!
What a fun and neat idea. I won't enter, because it will take me too long to reciprocate should I win, but good luck everyone else!
Woo-hoo! I love those covers. So unique. Have a wonderful weekend!
The book sounds a little too 'messagy' to me, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Have a great weekend! :-)
Awesome picks, Tara! :)
Hi Tara .. I've loved the idea of the Time Keeper since I read about it - so I'm looking forward to reading it ..
Now your idea of "borrow" The Time Keeper and blog hobbing with it - sounds quite delightful .. and a fun way to do a real world bloghop ..
The two covers look interesting ..
Interesting read .. and you've read your first book of the year .. cheers Hilary
I haven't read the book yet, even though Mitch is my hubby's first cousin.
