Quit searching, your Quest ends here

For A to Z 2015 I'm

ALL ABOUT THAT PLACE

I'll be highlighting Blogger Friends' Places
and
I'll be giving Book Event Tips

In a QUANDRY for something good to read? Try these QUINTESSENTIAL Bloggers!

QUEENDSHEENA - I love Sheena's creativity. She's got QUITE a brilliant imagination and puts QUIRKY spins on favorite fairy tales. And she's not QUIET about her heritage, she's a proud Jamaican QT!

QUERY SHARK - Janet Reid is the QUEEN of QUERIES and she'll tear yours apart in a QUARTER of a second if you offer it to her sharkiness. But she's QUICK with QUALITY advice and worth reading.

THE QQQE - a QUAINT southern gentleman, ready to give any QUERENT some words of wisdom about their QUERY letter. If the QUERY shark is the QUEEN, Matthew McNish is the King - with less bite!

Please save all QUESTIONS about my Book Event Tips till the end!

QUIRKY! One of the best things about some book events are the UNIQUE people you will see. Some dress up in complete costume, while others will wear only a few items that EQUATE them with their books. My favorite dressed authors are usually the steampunk set. The most I do is add a little color to my hair, wear my dragon wings, and add some sparkle to my eyes. It's fun to play pretend and get into a disguise.

But it's okay if you don't like to dress up. You can always people watch - some authors as well as readers get QUITE into it.

Just note: we remember those costumes and crazy-colored hair and cool displays the most. Something to consider and maybe you'll be inspired to work up the courage to stand out in something QUIRKY yourself!

I featured Sheena-kay as well! And Matthew's query critiques are really awesome.

My daughter lectures me on looking like a writer. I have a few outfits that I hope make me look like the artistic type. LOL

I don't have much of a quirky wardrobe, though I'd love to add more more Bohemian clothes. If I ever marry, I'll be covering my hair, which will definitely make me stand out.

I'd love to look like a writer. Instead, I wear jeans - even though every day I wake up and tell myself NOT to wear jeans!

Steampunk authors must look so cool!

I'd look out of place with my books if I dressed up, but I LOVE to people watch at any event! Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

LOL, even the most conservatively dressed writers tend to look like their characters. At least that's what I've observed.

BTW, Jeremy Hawkins, thanks a lot. Now that song is stuck in my head and the anticipation is killing me. I hope it'll last.
