I didn't think I could add much to Mark's bonnie Irish fest, until Rachelle Gardner put up a haiku challenge on writing or St Patrick's Day. Of course I incorporated both. (contest open until 3/18! awesome prizes!)Starting to query

And here's some March Madness, a 50 word challenge from Cafe Muravyets using the bold words.
He looks left. He looks right.
He plucks the ball like a plum before it can ripen and dribbles down court.
Under a downpour of cheers, he makes his move.
He shoots and is snagged by moronic defender. Mercifully the ref calls foul.
Two shots, all net.

Very nice poetry even if I am not a particular fan of basketball. I am able to watch the last 10 minutes of a game. That's the only time it's exciting.
