Make a Video (besides a book trailer)

This generation loves videos. Well, videos and movies originate from WRITERS! We need to remind folks that reading is a great alternative to watching mindless shows sometimes - they need to exercise their brains with some reading!

And maybe watching a video can bring attention to our books. To show you how easy it is, I put together a video with some advice on how to make one!

One thing I forgot to mention, solicit help from friends - you are not alone!

I hope you enjoyed my amateur marketing video advice and maybe it was helpful! Thanks to all my volunteers - they're awesome! And there's more to come...

Thanks also to those who have volunteered to help with my Cover Reveal and Release of CRADLE ROCK - Again, here's the FORM if you're interested. I'll be contacting everyone soon about the COVER REVEAL on SEPT 1!

Have a great MONDAY! And wish us luck - it's our first day back to school =)

Nice of you to share advice. Though I'd be mindful of how close you call the entertainment of TV and movie watchers mindless. While I know it's harmless fun there are some who love the medium who sometimes feel they are looked down for not enjoying more 'high brow' material. Books are my top but I love both.

That was so much fun! I'm terrified of making a video. Maybe I'll have to do one with my kid in it. He's much more of a ham than I am. :)

Fun vid! I agree, videos are a good tool to use when it comes to marketing. I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to put myself in front of a camera like that, but I'm sometimes tempted to create animated ones to promote my comics. That's such a time-consuming process, though, that I never fail to back out, LOL. (Maybe one day!)

Very cool, Tara! Oh and Chrys and Tamara too!
Excellent job!
Ready to try my own - not! :) I think I need to hire an actor!

Awesome! Love the special affects, the questions, your answers, and your dog! Maybe, I should just tape my dog? Except, he's not in my book. I guess I should write a fantasy that includes cute kittens and dogs. :) Just kidding, mostly.

Agh. Please ignore the icon. You were talking about school, I was doing school prep in the background - and this pic is from my "teaching at a Christian co-op" account. Oy. If I could just keep my brain straight.
