T G I F !

Thank goodness it's Friday =)
Monday is the first day of school! yay! I enjoyed summer and doing things with my kids and being with them and watching them get out toys and things they haven't played with in ages. But it is time! We are on each other's nerves and it is just time to go back. So YEAH!

There are other wonderful things happening Monday, too. Like Christine Tyler's Spark Blogfest. I almost didn't participate because I wasn't sure what I would write about. It was more my life experiences that started me writing. Then I thought of something good, so I joined in. It will be fun to see the many responses!

And although I didn't feel worthy to enter Ellie Garratt's Star Trek as we know it blog-a-thon, that is going on Monday as well. I like Star Trek, but these guys are ga ga for it! They came up with cool titles for themselves and everything. I'll definitely be reading what they have to say!

Finally, I've been seeing Write On Con being advertised so I went over to check it out. That is the best idea ever! I haven't been to a conference yet, they all seem to be in New York, or at least far from where I live. But this online conference is awesome! And it was free for a simple onlooker like me. I got to hear what the pros have to say the way I read the paper - skim to find the good parts while I sit on the couch in my jammies =) If you haven't, you should go look! Here is the list of presentations.

I loved the WriteOnCon thingy it was awesome! Also I'm not exactly looking FOREWORD to going back to school mostly because I'm in the process of editing my novel and school will REALLY slow me down! Oh well guess I'll just have to work even HARDER!
Have a great weekend!

Hope the kids have a great last summer weekend and a great first week back to school. We've been back in here for the last week or so.

Can you believe school is starting up again? You don't happen to know where this last year went, do you? I seem to have missed it.

I joined the Spark Blogfest, as well. I was thinking of imposing a moratorium on myself with the blogfests, but this one was too good to pass up!

Have a great weekend.

Happy Friday! Looking forward to the Star Trek Blogfest too, even though I am a little out of my league as well. :)

Have a great weekend!

WriteOnCon has been fun and I've learned a lot. I even got personal help from an agent with my query! Yeah! Enjoy your weekend.

I went to check out the WriteOnCon but I think my learning threshold has been topped out for the time being.

Your kids go back on Monday? Mine doesn't go back until the 6th.

Man Tara, did I write this post or you?

Yes, my kids and I are at the end-of-summer strangles and Monday cannot come soon enough.

I have the whole week planned with Spark posts :)

I really wanted to join in Ellie's Star Trek blogfest but I just thought that the true trekkies would laugh at how I'm not as good at Star Trek trivia as they were. I LOVE Star Trek but I haven't watch any in a long time.

WriteOnCon was FABULOUS!

We homeschool and it is winter here, so no new school year monday for us. Write on Con sounds awesome. I am off to see if I missed it all.

Write On Com was awesome. I love that they make conferences accessible to people in far off places.

Have you ever checked if SCBWI has a local one near you?
