Poetic Rant

Hope everyone is doing well with NANOWRIMO and NANOREVMO! I'm surviving my revisions, getting frustrated going over the same section a bunch of times. But at least I'm doing it. The support groups are soooo helpful! Join one if you haven't =)

I leave you with today's PAD #12, excess. Have a great weekend!

What’s the Point?

Technology Masters
Have too much time
On their geeky
Little
Hands

Obsoleting
My recent purchase
Making me buy
New to replace

No time to wear out
No time to figure out
Just when I grasp
A new version comes out

Too much
Too fast
Let us enjoy
Go relax!

Focus on
More useful things
Like time travel
and worm holes
and clearing garbage dumps
and less embarrassing airport security!

That's awesome! And you gotta watch that they're doing to the English language. I recently found out that the tekkie term TWAIN (referencing scanning technology) stands for:

Technology Without An Interesting Name.

Hip! Hip! And Amen! Seriously over the obsolete when bought mentality. I would add finding a way for instant travel ala Beam me up, Scottie.

I'm all for time travel and wormholes but I think I'd like to throw in rejuvination as well ;)

I LOVE your poem! It is so true. Once you figure out a piece of technology, it's outdated.

I had to go through a naked scanner in Holland. It wasn't so bad. You stand in it with your arms up in the air, it scans you then you step out of it. You see what they see on a screen. Three parts were blurred out. Not as bad as I thought.
