ksm - some like it hot!

Here in the Western Hemisphere, it's HOT! But it's summer, so that's to be expected. My umbrella has become my best friend at the baseball field. Think we'll hit the pool tonight.

How are you keeping cool?

Well, there are lots of HOT bloggie events coming up...

Hold onto your firemen! Falling for Fiction, group crit site, is hosting the Hook and Hang bloghop!
Wait, sorry. My bad. It's the Hookers and Hangers blog hop. Ha ha! There are so many ways to go with that title! But seriously. All you have to do is share your first & last lines from some chapters. It's a learning experience to concentrate on those in your WIP and see if you are really able to keep readers on the edge of their seats! July 16 & 18.

Oh that Candilynn! Making me want to write! She has started a monthly "Follow My Lead" flash fiction contest. There's still a week this time around if you want to give it a go, and only 300 words. (by 6/30)

Don't forget next week it's that time again for the Insecure Writers Support Group AND it falls on the 4th of July, a wonderful day of celebration for us Americans =) So Alex is having the Group meeting on Tuesday the 3rd and Wednesday the 4th to accommodate.

And remember the post where I talked about memorable characters? You don't?! That's okay. Daisy has a super series for making your characters sparkle. Check it out!

It is NOT hot here in England. In fact, it has been rainy quite a lot of the time! :(

Loads going on in the bloggy world, thanks for keeping us updated!

It was 99 here yesterday, ugh. We'll have those temperatures well into Sept. here in Southeast Texas. I dread the dog days of summer.

About to check out Daisy's character series. Thanks for the link!

I feel honored that you've posted about my fiction contest. :)) Thank you! Only one more week of entries than the judging begins.

If I could live somewhere where it was NEVER hot, I would... ;) I'm all about the rain, and overcast skies! LOL ;)

Thanks for the blog fest info!

It IS hot! And I'm excited about the Hookers and Hangers! Didn't know about the other. I'll have to check it out!

Cassie Mae: Yay! Thanks for spreading the word on our hookers ;)

Cassie is so crazy. Love her. Jamaica's kind of having split personality weather. It's summer time heat over here but there's also the issue of the rainy season. Both are fighting for dominance this morning. I'm so excited about the blogfests coming up.

It's miserably hot here, ugh. I'm ready for fall. I dot think the heat would be so bad if it wasn't humid. Oh well...I'll muddle through and end up with more freckles! :)

I'm excited about Hookers & Hangers (what an awesome name!). Thanks for the info!

Thanks for those links and reminders. It's really hot here. We're going to get into the triple digits by the end of the week. Yuck. We were at the pool this morning, though. Tuckered me out more than the boy!

Lots going on in the blogosphere.

Not hot this way yet. I'm kind of glad though.

Thank you for linking to my blog, Tara! You've got a great round up of blogfests here! Can't wait to check them out!

It is sweltering! Not loving it!
At least the blogosphere's cool, right? :)

Thanks for the links. I've bookmarked Daisy's to go back and spend some time on.

It's hot enough here that my silly dog decided she couldn't finish our mile walk the other day. Sat down under a tree and just quit. I had to carry her the last third of the way. Thank goodness she's only about 20 lbs.

The west coast has cooled down considerably the last few days; but it was over over 100 last weekend. I love the cool breezes, but I'm afraid the nice weather for me hearlds nasty storms for others.

Next month I'll check out the Follow Me prompt, I'm a little swamped at the moment. Thanks for all the updates :)

We're driving into hotter and hotter weather right now, and my husband doesn't want to turn on the AC - he wants to "acclimate us" by leaving it off for most of our drive . . . love the guy, don't love this particular idea of his . . .we need AC in Utah and Arizona . . . or at least I do.

A storm system skimmed my city and it's been raining a lot this week. I usually only go out early in the morning or in the evening to stay cool, and a/c is my friend.

Thank you for these links. I joined the Hang and Hook blog hop.
