No haiku today
My brain is totally fried

Sensational Haiku Wednesday - freestyle

What I would like to share today is
what I have learned from having sons...

1) they're dirty and stinky (I should own stock in oxy clean)
2) as they get older, they smell worse
3) they are proud of their smelliness, even sing about it
4) they make competitions about their ability to produce bad smells and gases
5) they like to punch each other
6) they make up games just so they can punch each other
7) they like to make up names for their punching games and smelly contests
8) they leave their cups everywhere
9) they also frequently lose their cup holders
(if you don't know what a cup is, you don't have boys)

and
10) the funny thing is, they like to take long showers!

Wouldn't have them any other way! Love my smelly, punchy boys!

I thought it was just mine that did #6 - I'm relieved my boys are normal. And yes, the long showers are a mystery to me too!

hahaha great post! Yep. We sure do think its funny producing bad smells. Well, as long as we're the ones doing it. Its not so funny when someone else is making them. But we laugh anyway. hahaha!

No haiku? OK, I get that. But what you did write was a senryu: 17 syllables that describe human nature!

I was going to say "Nice haiku" but apparently you didn't write one? (LOL!)

I don't have kids but I used to teach and I'd have entire classes of just boys and while I never personally experienced 8,9 or 10, I'm well versed with 1-7.

Hahaha, this is absolutely hilarious! You are hilarious! But the boys seem to be adorable, even if smelly :)

This is hilarious. I only have one small boy, and soon I'll have another, but I have four brothers so I know what you mean. I get to look forward to this later in life!

I only have one boy, but I can imagine what it would be like with two! I also liked your (lack of) haiku :)

Bahahaha. I have two smelly brothers. My mom has NINE (yes, 9) stinky brothers. I'm very grateful for my two smelly brothers!

HAHAHAHA! This is brilliant. I only have one son, although my husband feels like an extra kid a lot of the time as well. AND... I am already noticing this even though he's only 9!

I was blessed with daughters and a couple of them have gone on to produce daughters of their own. I love all my girls, but gotta love the boys too when they're yours.

Hey Tara, look what I missed!!!!!!!
3 sisters, and 2 daughters. No regrets.

Poor Rigby when they do punchies, except that one show when he poked Morticai in the eye. Ha-ha.

My stepson was big, always stealing my hairbrushes, hair spray and conditioner. I had to hide them.

Wow.
Just wow! So funny.
Luckily I only have one but he loves to stink up the place.
And his favorite word...butt.

Thanks for the wonderful laugh! Well, thanks to your boys!

I have four of those smelly things; and they all spend more time in the bathroom than my daughter ever did.

Just weird.

You know, since I play hockey with a bunch of guys, I seriously regret not having the stinking, belching, farting skills of my teammates. They use them in the most entertainingly strategic ways... just saying.

Hahaha! Great post. Loved the haiku about not haiku-ing ;)

The rest made me sooooo happy to have girls. I did have a little brother so I am quite aware of the cup/cup holder issue though, haha!

Thanks for the giggles!
