"I clean up after others, for others."
"If you can't do the work, don't bring the dirt."
"The best part of cleaning is the five minutes after when you get to enjoy it."
Having company over, especially relatives who live far away, is one of my favorite things about Christmas. But it's also stressful. I want to put up extra decorations and have the house sparkly. Unfortunately the only way guests will see the house at its cleanest is to clean the whole thing right before they arrive. It's hard work, but worth the relaxation when I'm done. I can enjoy their visit without worrying about cleaning for a while. Ahh.

I'm a hyper cleaner. I can't function in clutter. If I ever watch Horders on TV it gives me a panic attack. Fun quotes :)
Love the quotes. It's so true. I recently found a quote: "Cleaning while the kids are home, is like shoveling while it's snowing."
SO TRUE!
But it is so wonderful when it's finally sparkly and clean and you can enjoy a few minutes of beauty!
Have fun with the relatives. :)
I hate doing housework, but I love a clean house. :-)
I'm like most people, I give it an extra polish when I've got company coming. Right now I'm waiting to hear from my sister as to whether she and her family are coming for Christmas so I know just how clean my house needs to be for the holidays. :-)
Love the wintry background and the quotes. I HATE cleaning, and if you have kids you really do have to do it right before people show up.
Hope you have lots of fun with your family and friends. ;)
The last one is so true! Because it vanishes so quickly.
I actually kinda like cleaning and those quotes! :)
urgh... cleaning bad....
Lx
That last quote is so fitting for me. ;)
Speaking of which, I need to clean my bathroom today. O_O
You know the best part of that was you saying you enjoy having family there. Yeah!!!!!
I'm at an age now that cleaning doesn't get done as often as when you girls were home. Over 40 years of dusting gets old.
mom
I always clean like crazy before I know people are coming over. Most other times, I'm a pretty relaxed cleaner.
I do the same when company comes too. There is no point in cleaning a few days ahead of time...it never lasts. I should invite company more often though, then my house would stay clean. :)
My house is too small to invite many over so we just travel a lot.
Always remember...people don't come to see your clean house they come to see you.

I love that last quote!
