9th Quotes of Christmas

"Winter is the warmest time of the year - with crackling fires, fuzzy sweaters, and cozy companions."

Don't you love sweater weather? I like dressing in layers. And I have been wearing more scarves - cute & cozy trend =) But one fad I won't do - Snuggie! I'll stick to slippers and sweatshirts and comfy blankets.

What's your favorite warming accessory?

And here is a fun wintery poem...

Winter morning warm in bed
Hopeful for a day of snow
Looks like Jack Frost stopped by here!
Time to bundle, head to toe.

Pull on long johns, cotton soft,
Thick wool socks protect my toes,
Fuzzy sweater with a deer
And a pom pom for its nose

Now for snow pants, coat and gloves,
Hat that grandma made from scratch.
Scratch is right, it makes me itch!
Round my neck a scarf to match,

"Where are you off to, young man?"
Mother asks suspiciously.
"The roads are clear, you have school."
Brother laughs obnoxiously.

Building forts, sledding glory,
Plans for snowballs have to wait.
Shoulders slump, I trudge to eat
Little bro has sealed his fate.

I love sweater weather. It makes me feel like I can curl up with a book and not feel guilty :)

I love sweater weather! I'm still waiting for it though - it's 46F where I am.

I like jackets that I can take off, I get too warm when I move around too much. LOL But I have grown fond of scarfs.

You're awesome -once again. I love sweater weather and I love jackets. I don't love too many layers. I used to be better with them, but now I just want to be loose and comfy. Unless, of course, I'm freezing.... then pile it on! lol

Makes me think of that kid in A Christmas Story who is so bundled he can barely walk!

The Snuggie, Ha-Ha. No snuggie for me. But do you realize the young man who invented it was in his 20's and is a millionaire now because of it?

Hehehe! I can't wait to see my little guy all bundled up to go play in the snow. I use to love it as a kid. I LOVE sweater weather. I'd wear sweaters all year if I could. Comfy and soft.

What a great poem! I've just caught up with your Christmas quotes, what a fun idea. I love sweaters and all winter clothes, and I have to confess I also love snuggies LOL. I can't help it, I love being all wrapped up on the couch. :)

Ah, your poem brought up some great childhood memories. I must be in the minority because I'm not a sweater person at all. I tend to be too warm all the time and wear short sleeves all winter long. My friends say that looking at me makes them feel cold! :)

Thanks, guys!
We aren't really bundling up here yet, either. But the sweaters are ready!

My name is Darrin and I love sweaters too. I think wearing something "warm and fuzzy" makes you feel "warm and fuzzy" too :)
