8th Quotes of Christmas

Lest we forget all the people that make our life run smoother...

"Smiles to strangers bring the world closer to harmony."

Tis the season to thank.
My family Christmas shopping is just about done. Now I have the "oh, yeah"s. Mustn't forget the teachers, bus driver, postal worker, garbage guys, and the paper person who conveniently sends me a card so I know who he is. I appreciate these people and a "tip" at Christmas time is a nice way to let them know. Sometimes a small gift card or sometimes some candy, depends on when I remember...If you have other ideas, I'd love to hear them!

Hope you all are having a nice December so far =)

And here is a haiku on preparation, for Sensational Haiku Wednesday.

Lists

Call me Queen of Lists
Can't remember ev'rything
Keep paper handy

Decorations hung
Christmas presents left to wrap
Cards put in the mail

Plan the meals they like
Tidy house and then I can
Enjoy company

PS - I just finished VARIANT by Robison Wells - LOVED IT!!! Review next week.
PPS - I interviewed S.R. Johannes about marketing and her new book, UNTRACEABLE at Unicorn Bell today =)

excellent interview - and yes to lists. I hated them when my mom made them (cuz they were usually chores) but I sure find them helpful now :)

I finished Variant too! Can't wait for the next one :) Thanks for reminding me that I need to get my sons teacher a gift!

Variant is on my Christmas wish list, but I don't think my kids can take a hint. I think I'll have to buy it for myself in January.

Just when I thought I was done with Christmas shopping you had to remind me about teachers! AH! How could I forget?
Can't wait for your review of VARIANT. It's awesome, huh?

Great haiku! I'm a polite smiler all year round. I think sometimes it throws people off.

Loved today's quote - it reminds me of those old Coke commercials where they wanted to "teach the world to sing in perfect harmony."

Loved your Haiku too. :-)

Love the quote!
After all, a smile costs nothing... but it generates happiness!

You sound very prepared. Definitely more than I am! I think I am slowly becoming a list-maker...

Love your opening line to the haiku! Such preparation enhances the final enjoyment!

I too am a List Queen - I have them everywhere, and they keep me on track, and in check. Can't live without 'em!

Terrific haiku :)
