I finally did it! I finished Hunger Games!
That was such a good book. Now I know why it was so popular. My goal was to finish it before the movie came out. I'm ready to start on the next one and see how Katniss deals with her two men. What I'm really anxious about is how they will overthrow the capitol.
My son is on the third book and said there are a lot of boring parts...he likes the action, not the talking, talking, talking. Boys!
I wonder how they will do with the movie!

I LOVED that trilogy! I think the 2nd book was kind of boring myself, just necessary to get us to the 3rd. But the 1st was my favorite.
I agree with Allison, the first was my favorite. I don't know how far into the book your son is, but action is coming!
My Blog
I'm just starting this book, I had to find out what all the fuss was about. I can't believe it took me this long to finally start reading it, I feel so behind!
Oh...I've not read this book before...maybe I'll pop by the library to see if its available...
The present tense threw me. I even put off reading it for several months because of it.
Stupid me.
I INHALED those books in two days. WOW.
No more tense-discrimination. I am reformed.
Now I feel like I shouldn't read it because everyone else is. I don't want to be a sheep or anything!
Is this a YA series?
My Sis in Law is happy w/ the movie casting so far. Maybe I will wait for that.
I got to read several comments on this - and I wanted to say thanks!
This book is incredible!!! And I have heard people say that about the 3rd one. It was such a perfect book for me that I refused to read the other 2. (I didn't want it ruined bc I wanted to plot it out in my head--he he).
I am in the middle of it right now Her two boys? I would assume you mean Peetah and Gail. Don't tell me though. Overthrow the capital?! WTF?! No more spoilers please! haha
Christa I don't know if I will read the other 2 either. Especially if the movie combines them for a nice neat ending...will be interesting to see if they drag 3 movies out of the series but they might.
sorry Brock! I assume that's what happens in the second or third book. I mean I hope they put an end to the horrible hunger games somehow!
