5th Quotes of Christmas

Are you done with your shopping? I'm getting closer. Don't you want to just take a day off and get it all done? But that never happens. There's always something you can't find. Special orders have to be made on line - which is fine if you can get free shipping and even then, it's never all on one site! Smart people start early. Unfortunately, just like buying costumes too early for Halloween, my kids change their minds on what they want, frequently. I'm thankful that we adult siblings have given up trying to buy for each other - we were basically trading gift cards.
So here are my quotes about Christmas gifts and shopping.

"The people you know the best are the worst people to shop for."

This happens because you know what they wouldn't like. You can't find the perfect gift because it doesn't seem to exist. I wish that came in a different color. Of course they don't have the right size. I think I got that last year.

"The best gift is something you didn't know you wanted."

A gift cards says, "I have no idea what you want."

"Christmas morning is like looking in a hospital nursery window. So many possibilities!"

That last one was tres lame, I know.

And don't forget to wrap everything up all nice and pretty! I love wrapping! One of my favorite crafty things to do, that I got from my mom, is to cut up all the cute Christmas cards and use them for present tags (the next year, of course!). Do you have any shopping or wrapping tips?

I finished shopping for my youngest two. But they were nice enough to create their Christmas lists for Santa. Unfortunately neither my older son and my hubby were much help in the wish list department, which makes things extremely difficult. :(

Yay for online shopping. Saves have to shop when it freezing or snowing. :D

I like the one about the best gift. And I am all done - did most of my shopping online a few weeks ago.
I like gift card if they are from iTunes!

Oooo, I like that card/gift tag idea! I'll have to remember that for next year. I love wrapping presents, too! I'm a little more than halfway done my Christmas shopping. My friend and I are taking a day next week to go shopping, and hopefully I'll be finished then. I can't wait to wrap everything and have it under the tree! I like getting my shopping done early, too, but then it's so hard to wait. I want to give everyone their presents now!

Love this quote: "The best gift is something you didn't know you wanted." That's often so true. And the baby nursery quote is so cute!

I think gift cards say, "I know you love to shop. Merry Christmas!" I love getting gift cards--but only to amazon.

I'm the same... I can't shop early cause my kids change their minds! It makes me want to strangle them! Agh!

I've got the important stuff for the year, but there is still more to do and I am slacking. A day off would be wonderful.

The last quote is my favorite! I did shop early for most of my gifts, but I save stocking stuffers for last. For some reason, they're my favorite to shop for. (Maybe it's the chocolate?)

I'm actually glad I didn't start early this year. I had a list of gifts for Chipmunk that I thought would work great given the stuff she plays with. Then she handed me her list and I ended up chunking mine altogether.

Yeah, trying to be proactive didn't work well. But online shopping got half her gifts so I'm doing alright.

So sweet of you to mention the tags idea. And that was funny about making sure to use the old ones, ha.

I'm planning to do some shopping tomorrow but I'm glad I don't have much too much to do. I do, however, still need a tree...

That's my favorite thing - the tree!

So far I have one Christmas present (for a great nephew). I'm hoping to knock off the bulk of my shopping tomorrow.

And I use the previous year's Christmas cards to make gift tags too! We always used pinking sheers to cut them up with, but now you can buy all kinds of fancy edging scissors. :-)

One of my favorite things to do with one present each year was to wrap something small in a bigger box and "disguise" it as something else. Or put a box in a box in a box in a box!

I used to stress like this over buying my children's gifts when they were little (because they do change their minds!). Believe me, now that one is in H.S. and one in college, its so much easier - all they want is money! :)
