HELP! Don’t be afraid to ask! Authors support authors. You don't have to look very far for encouragement, advice, or a listening ear. If you need something, just ask!
Visiting BROKEN BRANCH FALLS (MG Fantasy)- Teenage fantasy creatures in high school break the rules, causing chaos. Gabe the goblin leads a quest to find the Book of Ages, hoping it can help save BROKEN BRANCH FALLS:
Hope is in the middle with Jordy & Argus sketches by Laura Kramer |
Harpies - humanoid head and torso, bird wings and feet, emit emotion pheromones to one another, tend to overreact
Hexagon - arena where the dragons hold special events
High Council - equally represented group that keeps the peace
Hope - girl goblin friend of Gabe, has a crush on him
Humans - thought to be fictitious, their stories are used to scare little beasts to be good or a human will get them
H is for Handy

Added bonus #1 - I like to HELP fellow authors - and this cover reveal is a humdinger!
Behold! The cover for Ryan Hill's debut YA Paranormal novel THE BOOK OF BART!
That cover is hilarious! And it sounds heavenly! (sorry, guys, it's H day...)
coming May 22 from Curiosity Quills
Only one thing is so powerful, so dangerous that Heaven and Hell must work together to find it: the Shard of Gabriel.
With a mysterious Black Cloud of Death hot on the shard’s trail, a desperate Heaven enlists the help of Bart, a demon who knows more about the shard than almost anyone. Six years ago, he had it in his hands. If only he’d used it before his coup to overthrow the devil failed. Now, he’s been sprung from his eternal punishment to help Samantha, an angel in training, recover the shard before the Black Cloud of Death finds it.
If Bartholomew wants to succeed, he’ll have to fight the temptation to betray Samantha and the allure of the shard. After an existence full of evil, the only way Bart can get right with Hell is to be good.

Hey fellow Angel, thought I's best drop by and say...Hi! Hope you are enjoying the challenge so far.
Love the drawings of the elves?
Broken Branch Falls sounds really good. Love all your H words...The Book of Bart looks devious...just saying...
I love the twist... humans are thought to be fictional and are used as the Scary Thing to put kids to bed. ha!
I love that your A to Z Challenge posts are so amusing! It's good to laugh... and that final book cover made me giggle too!
Happy H Day! :)
That cover is hilarious! Love the blurb too. And I always know which way to turn a nut! :) Heading over to Crystal's now.
Simple, yet great, writing advice. Especially in this community...everyone is very helpful.
That cover is hilarious. I love it!
And I'm really looking forward to Broken Branch Falls. It sounds like something both I and my niece would love.
Eye catching cover, indeed. Congrats to Ryan.
I like the sound of these harpies and am cracking up at the idea of humans being imaginary. Happy H day!
Keeping those beasties in line with human stories is the best idea ever. It's right up there with being able to open your own jar!
Loving your Blog, it is so much fun :-). Although I do have to disagree with your Handy Man thing. My man isn't much help in opening jars (I finally managed to open one last night that I'd been trying to open for about a month - a knife and hot water were far more help) and although I'd have to stop and think what way to turn a bolt, he would just stop and ask me... :-D
Hey nice one Tara:-) Thanks for popping by my blog - Love to discover yours through this challenge:-)It looks great. Will be back for more:-)
Book of Bart - funny title.
And human stories are used to scare the creatures of your story? Nice touch, Tara.
My ex-"fiancé"'s mother is a Harpy if I ever met one. I'm so glad I no longer have to grit my teeth and bear it as she yodel-screeches at her henpecked husband: "EEEEEE-gaaaarrrr! Eeeee-GAAAAARRR! Eeeee-GAAAARRR!" or at her gigantic baby boy; "Ssserrrrrr-YYYYOOOOO-zhaaaa!" Just thinking of that greenhorn Harpy makes me angry.
I have to open the jars at my house because I have big hands with long fingers. Even my grown sons ask me to open things. Guess those years on the farm gave me strong hands. LOL
Writers do help each other.
"Tend to overreact" Yep--I was certainly a harpy in a past life!!
This is awesome! lol
Scary humans. Excellent. glad to be following your blog. How did you come up with so many h-words in your intro? Good post.

I love ANY stories with Harpies in it. They're such strange creatures.
No wings on the Harpies?
