Fun Signs and Stats

Wanted to share a few fun signs I spotted on vacation...
I love this one, found in Maggie Mae's Cafe
my artistic son drew this at the Friendly Fisherman
And here are some vacation stats...
  • # days at the beach = 3
  • # sand castles/sculptures built = 4
  • # days at the pool = 5
  • # nights at the pool = 2
  • # umbrella drinks = ?
  • # books finished = 1
  • # sudokus finished = 7
  • # stories started = 3
We also caught a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game, I got to visit a friend (yay!), one son won an ice cream at a poolside contest and a random stranger gave me her beach chair because she was flying home (thanks, Nice Lady from Philly!)

Anyone else inspired by some time away? Or warm weather (or cold weather for those farther away!) How's your writing going?

It's funny how inspiring time away can be.
It's almost like the not NEEDing to do it makes it so much more worth doing. Craziness :)

I'll have to let you know when I get back from vacation next month. :) Sounds like a great time!

Would that artistic son be the middle one?

What's with the question mark after the "number of drinks" listing?

HA!

Looks like you had a lovely time!

Great stats ! What happened to "umbrella drinks" ? Too many or can't really remember ... ?
All in all , seems like you had a great get-away ...

I too just returned from a short vacation. Like yours, it was inspiring; however, my list admittedly differs from yours. For instance, my top entries are: # of unintended insults = 6; # of acquaintances who probably won't invite me to their homes again = 6; # of upcoming stories inspired by items 1 and 2 = 6.

I want that unattended child sign for the library ~ I work in the adult department after all. The vacation sounds like it was good. A day or two away always helps freshen up the perspective.

We go on vaca next month. I'm hoping that it will help clear the cobwebs. Class is great but I feel a little overwhelmed.
If we lived closer we could go see HP together. That would be cool.
Glad you had a great time away and I'm glad to see it inspired you.
Off to learn.

Jen, so true, similar with people who want babies - when they relax, it happens =)

Dana, have fun!

Anon, of course.

Bryce, don't you just love umbrella drinks?

Mish, hmmm. I'll get back to you on that.

Garner, hahahahahaha ha ha!

Nina, you should see the pic of Mae

Shelly, me too.

Cathy, I want it for my neighborhood pool

Heather, have a great time! wish we could. all my friends live too far away!

Love the signs, especially your sons. Love the stats too. We are off later in the week and I am hoping my stats have more days in the sea.

A lady down the block has the first sign. The puppies and espresso sign I first saw at my Eugene salon. I wanted to make off with it, but refrained since that would probably not reflect well on me. 0:)
