Give an unexpected "Thank you." To a grocery bagger or checkout person or your mail carrier or a garbage man. So many jobs are thankless and taken for granted. Showing strangers you appreciate them makes you both feel good!

don't people say thank you all the time to others? i always thank anyone that does something for me (i even thank the cashier for taking my money...wait a minute!)

ha ha. unfortunately i don't think most people do. but you live in the south, maybe more people do down there! many people look surprised when i say it =)
